I'm a supervisor!

I'm very excited to announce that I have made it to Supervisor with Usborne Books and More!!! It was ALOT of work and stress, but I got through it! I'm very excited. Most people ask me what this means. Basically it means I make more money, I have people under me that I help, and I help with training meetings once a month. I'm just grateful that I could get to this position and hopefully the extra money will make a difference!

Going to Inverviews all over!

Last week we drove to Rock Springs, WY for an inverview with Terracon and then straight to Ely, NV for an interview with Peterson Mine. It was quite inveresting and long and crazy. At this point I don't care where we live as long as we are making money and can live again! I was impressed that I did like things more than I thought I would, for both towns.
Tomorrow we are heading up to Butte, Montana for an interview there as well. I'm excited to see the city and see what I think. It's starting to be an exciting time and I'm just hoping SOMETHING happens!

Bob-a-loo chipped his tooth!

So, I don't have a picture of the chipped tooth. I know what kind of scrapbooker am I??? We took him into the dentist and he suggest a crown. Yes a crown on a baby tooth, but it is the front tooth! Luckily the do sedation, much better then trying to hold down a screeming baby! He was NOT happy about the whole thing, but all in all did quite well. I even got the dentist to get some splinters out of his foot he got the day before! He was a little sore that afternoon, but otherwise he's doing great! Well, except that the tooth was loose, so he got a wire put on the first 4 teeth, to help the loose one heal, hopefully! Hey, if he evergets braces I will know what to expect. He does look cute! (I will get pics and post!!!)

Camping day vacation!

Yesterday we decided to get out of the heat, even if only for a little while, and go camping. We went up to Torrey's parents lots up little Weber Canyon. It was very nice. We spent the afternoon at Smith and Moorehouse Reservoir. Torrey wanted to fish and I thought it would be fun to take the boys out in the rubber raft we have. Well, the fishing sucked and the boys did NOT enjoy being in the raft with me. We didn't even get out far enough to loose sight of the bottom of the water. BUT once the boys were allowed to play in the water, they were wearing life jackets, they had a BLAST! It turned out to be a fun afternoon.
That night we put up our tent, and attempted to all sleep. The boys wouldn't go down, it was atleast 10pm before they settled. But, they finally did, and Torrey and I stayed up and watched the fire and the AMAZING stars in the sky. Before we got into the tent with the boys we scared away a HUGE racoon attempting to get INTO the tent! At sometime during the dark hours, Monkey (too scared to get up) peed in the tent. Torrey got soaked and moved him and moneky to the trailer (permanently parked at the lots). I knew they were gone and had a VERY realistic dream of a racoon getting into the tent with me and Bob-a-loo. Luckily it was just a dream! At 7am the temperature was 40-degrees! Too bad we had to come back to the 100-degree valley! We all lived, and despite the craziness, had a good time. Ahh, the joys of summer!

Attempt to Promote!

ALRIGHT! I have just made a huge decision regarding my USborne books business. I have decided to promote to Supervisor! This is going to be quite a challenge! I have to get some bookshows on my schedule and get some friends to join me in helping others get fabulous books into their homes! I'm really excited and I think I can do this! Anyone else want to have their own business with these fabulous books? Starting August 1, a starter kit (worth $173) is only $15 and FREE SHIPPING! But only till August 10, apparently you have to act quickly! I'm so excited about this. It's like it was ment to be for me to start this right now!

Scofield Tri

July 18, 2009
Scofield Sprint Triathlon
750 meter swim, 12 mile bike, 5 km run
completed 2:07:15

I'm the one in the green cap.... you can't tell, really? I'm to the left of the lady in white... still can't tell, sorry!
Well the swim kinda kicked my butt. I should have been atleast 5 minutes faster, but I couldn't get myself to swim freestyle. Hey, I finished!

The bike was actually pretty good. The only really big hill was right out of transition, I ran up it with the bike, like everyone else! That's why this picture is with me walking the bike, that's what I did the first 100 feet. T1 was really smooth, I shaved atleast 30 seconds off the last Tri.

T2 was also pretty smooth; of with the bike shoes, on with the running shoes, hat, gu, drink, and run! Too bad the run wasn't that smooth. I did, however, run most of it. I only walked like 3 or 4 times. I also had to stop to fix my shoe, I was getting a blister and half of my foot was asleep. I still couldn't pick up the pace, I was really, really slow!

The best part was Monkey waiting to run across the finish line with me! He was so sweet! He held my hand and ran as fast as he could with me to finish! I got myself a medal and a water bottle! It was fabulous!

I'm hooked! I LOVE triathlons! Who knew pushing yourself beyond measure would be fun! I guess I'm a glutten for punishment. I'll be happy to share my pain with all who want to join me, it's fun!

A bunch of Crap!

We're staying with my inlaws in Alpine this weekend. This morning my boys got up early and were quite loud. So I thought I'd get them out of the house and go for a walk. Of course, we didn't get out until they woke everyone, but we were obligated to walk. We got to the corner and Monkey went to pickup a feather, so he stopped the parade behind him. As we started to walk again the strangest thing happened. I was POOPED on by a buzzard in the tree above. Yep, I have white poop all over my shoulder, front and back, and the top of the stroller has poop spots too. Total yuck! And I was wearing my new scofield tri t-shirt. Stupid bird!

I did finish my triathlon yesterday! It was so fabulous! I cut down my time from the last tri by 7 minutes! More details to come!

Update!

I'm still here. I keep forgetting to put photos up of the boys (we don't have internet at home so I have to remember to bring them with me wherever I go, and I don't usually remember). They're growing fast and furiously! And doing some fun things!
Monkey is now into pretend. He can play for hours with a couple toys downstairs. I LOVE IT! I don't have to entertain him at all. bob-a-loo, on the ohter hand, isn't as easy. He doesn't mind playing by himself, too much, but he does like to get into things. If I'm not carefully watching him I'm usually in for a BIG surprise!
We're still on the job hunt and trying not to suffer too much. On the same note, I'm TRYING to get my Usborne Books going again, just to try to get some additional income. If anyone's interested in doing a homeshow (party) or joining my team ( you can make some extra $, get out once in a while, and help other get awesome books) just let me know, I'd love to help you!
I'm doing another Tirathlon this weekend, Scofield Tri. I'm way excited and a little nervous. I'll post more pics when it's done!

Bad news

Well, Unfornutely about a month ago Torrey lost his job due to lay offs. I should have expected it when he would tell me that he had NOTHING to do at work. For atleast 2 or 3 weeks he was just going into the office to be there if anything came up.

He has had 1 interview for a position in Salt Lake. Two more interviews are coming up, one in Lincoln, Nebraska and the other in Denver, Colorado. Any job will do, although we will be sad to move. BUT we're always up for some adventure! (secretly I've been wanting to move back to Colorado, so we'll just have to see what happens!)

Pleas keep us in your prayers! This is such a stressful situation.

Salem Springs Triathlon COMPLETED!!!

Well, I am very excited to share that I just completed my very first triathlon! It was SO FUN to do it with my Dad!

Don't I just look FABULOUS in my wetsuit!?!

The swim was my favorite! Yes, I still had a small freak out, it's WIERD swimming with goggles in a lake (you see green stuff floating by)! So I did a lot of breast stroke, my time was still around 15minutes!

That wetsuit even looks better when I'm wet!
I have a fabulous friend that let me borrow her bike (Thanks Nadine!) It made a huge difference in the bike portion! For instance, this bike has clips (your feet are attached to the peddles), which is great untill I came to a really steep hill and I couldn't down shift fast enough. I know you know what happened and yes it did, I just fell right over. The bike stopped moving and I hit my side. It was quite embarassing! I walked the rest of the hill and then continued my ride. We did 2 loops and the second time up the hill, I made it! Oddly enough I CAN learn from my mistakes!

Have you ever tried to run after you bike hard...it's horrible! I could hardly move. And actually, I mostly walked. I tried to run, but I was TIRED and my legs felt like wet noodles. Yes, I will be working on the running part a little bit more before the next one,but this time, I was toast!

Yes, you read (heard) me right, I do believe I will be doing more tirathlons! It was a BLAST! Even with falling on the bike and walking the run, I had a great time. Anyone want to join me?!

Bob-a-loo has tube in his ears!

Our little Bob-a-loo had surgery on Tuesday to have tubes put into his ears. I was so NERVOUS! I was so amazed at how well he did. He wasn't ok with the doctor taking him away from us to go to his surgery, but otherwise he was just fine. Even after, he wasn't crying when we got in to him or anything. It was great. He took a LONG 4 hour nap, then he was up and happy as can be! He hears EVERYTHING we say. I thought he was talking alot before... he says everything we say. I'm glad we finally let go of our fears and got this done!

Happy 2009!

I'm so glad 2008 is over!!! Here's to a great 2009! (CHEERS!)
This month Bob-a-loo turns ONE! He's been walking the last couple weeks and loves playing with is brother! He LOVES to laugh, even a forced laugh, because it gets everyone else to laugh! Bob-a-loo is out happy little boy!
Monkey has been waking up the last couple night with dry training pants! I hope this continues and he won't need those expensive sucker! AND Sunday was Monkey's first day in Primary as a Sunbeam! I talked it up all Saturday and he was really excited on Sunday. I think he was one of the only kids that was not crying sitting in the Primary room. I thought he might have a hard time, but he just said "bye Mom" and then ignored me till I left. He's SO big!
